ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Stainless steel is a very hard, resilient material. Although our polished handrail tubing systems are designed using an innovative modular, quick-fit design technology – making it ideal for rapid, onsite shop fitting assembly or DIY construction – STICK IT strongly advise all safety precautions are followed, particularly when drilling, tapping and cutting. If you require further guidance on installing our handrail systems, please contact us our West Midlands office on 0121 525 0020.

STEP ONE: VERY IMPORTANT – ASSEMBLE ALL PARTS “DRY” PRIOR TO BONDING TOGETHER

SAWING STICK-IT TUBE
1. Always ensure a straight cut using a     suitable fixed blade saw.
2. Use a suitable cutting fluid to prolong     blade life.
3. Remove all burrs after cutting.

BONDING JOINTS
1. Apply a small bead of high strength     retainer to the male insert part of the     fitting.
2. Insert fitting into tube (or female fitting)     and adjust to desired position.
3. Hold or clamp in position until bonded.     Bonded in 10 to 30 mins; fully cured in
    24 hrs.

FIXING BY MECHANICAL METHOD IS REQUIRED TO ATTACH ITEMS SUCH AS GLASS CLAMPS. SEE BELOW FOR A GUIDE.

DRILLING AND TAPPING
1. Clamp the stainless steel tube securely in     a vice or similar
2. Mark the tube with centre-punch.
3. If possible, use suitable cutting fluid.
4. Drill hole using suitable drill bit.
5. Cut the thread with a thread tap. Remove     excess swarf.
6. Alternatively, use rivet nuts. Shopfitters     may prefer to use self-tappers or Tek     screws.
